So in LOVE with MAKI & RAMEN’s sublime sushi, mouthwatering karaage chicken, and of course those fluffy, utterly moist bao buns, these bitches have EVEN travelled to Glasgow for the launch of its latest and greatest restaurant. 

With the promise of a sexy party – dress code: fabulous – endless Japanese food, gallons of champagne, and a ridiculous amount of cocktails we have naturally RSVP’ed with a resounding: YES F**KING PLEASE!

Soon we’re enjoying the bustle of an effervescent crowd, a lush roll of salmon-topped sushi, and an espresso martini 🍸 that’s as close to perfection as it’s possible to get. HUZZAH!

We’re also quite thrilled by the gorgeous decor. For along with Maki & Ramen’s trademark cherry blossom and collage of post-it notes, this epic space has an almost New York vibe, with its high ceilings and gorgeous centre bar.

Meanwhile our DJ delights via the sounds of Ibiza, but vows to constantly adjust the playlist to mirror our levels of inebriation. How wonderfully considerate, we remark, while draining the last drop from our second bottle of bubbles

But even though it’s easy to believe this joyous and rather lively party is ALL about us – we are once again best-dressed after all – this wonderful restaurant with nightlife aspirations is exactly what’s on offer to you.

For as well as the food we all know and love, every Friday and Saturday the space will subtly transition into a nightspot where music and many a cheeky cocktail can be enjoyed. So again, we must yell across the restaurant: HUZZAH!

On this particular Saturday it isn’t too long before one is juggling the exultation of spicy, sticky fried chicken with an undeniable desire to dance to Whitney 🎶 To our gorgeous DJ, we simply say: MWAH!

Though when we suddenly find ourselves witnessing a saucy thrust en masse to the unmistakeable beat of the Macarena, we realise it’s somehow now two in the morning. Thank you for a truly amazing night xx
